Reason 3.0 Help!!

I want to make beats using the Reason 3.) software but I don't have a clue where to start. I have not gotten my MIDI keyboard yet do I need this to make beats? I have played around with the Drum machine and such but everything looks so complicated....where do I start to make a beat?

I wrote up a step by step way to set up reason to start making beats, here: http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=197466 its a really good thread. But as stated in there, if you want to make more complex beats without using automation you should open up the sequencer window and just point and click your beats in however you want.

if you have any opther questions feel free to ask, I love reason, and I know a fair amount about it. (used to sell it for a living )

reason 3.0

how can i use the sounds in reason through my mpc..i have the connections connected correctly but i can not use different channels..meaning when i add another sound the previous sound that ive recorded changes also..any suggestions?
