Reason 2.0 latancy problem

When I press my midi keyboard, the sound comes out about half a second late.

I'm using PIII 850MHz w/768mb ram, Windows 2000 Pro, SB Live! Value.

Is it the soundcard?


ps. I didn't have this problem on cubase.

Its your soundcard/drivers. You need ASIO drivers for your SB to get low latency in Reason.

Were you using softsynths in Cubase? That is really the only time you will run into latency problems - not in just recording audio.

i used to run reason on a soundblaster before i got a new card..
i found messing with the buffer size (moving the slider left) helped a ton... its under Edit/Preferences/Audio ..but i belive messing with the buffer makes it a bit more unstable ive been wrong beore....im a newbie heh...
