ReaPlugs problem in Sonar v4

I still use Sonar v4 (the newer versions never offered anything I thought was worth it to me). I'm on XP. I use a lot o the free Reaper plugins. But I use an old version of them. I tried installing the latest version of them last night. After installing I ran the "VST Wrapper" program so Sonar would know about them. I see Sonar scan the directory where I have them. The wrapper program also lists them in its final window after the scan is complete. All looks well and good.

But they don't show up when I try to add them to the track (right click in the effects bin - they aren't in the popup menu). This was never a problem before with the older versions. Anybody have any ideas on how to correct it? The new versions look cool and i'd really like to use them.

As an ex-Sonar 4 user myself, please don't take this the wrong way, but do yourself a huge favor and just migrate over to Reaper.

Your Whole experience and productivity will increase 50 times.

I gave up entirely on Sonar products.

Sorry to not answer your question directly, but i have directly provided you with the best possible 'work around'

As Atom Bomb suggested; a lot of issues would be resolved if you use a Reaper plug-in in Reaper, citing an increase in productivity which is true. I do use Reaper with the new version of plug-in using Windows XP and it works perfectly.

Since you install a new version of the plug-in and you are using an old version Sonar, you can either use the new version of Sonar and test it. See if it works. Otherwise you can revert to your old setup. You can always contact Sonar and report your issue. Good luck.
