ReaPitch query

I'm trying to raise a duplicated guitar track 1 octave to get a harmonising effect. When I do this through ReaPitch, I get a real crappy distorted playback.
Am I using the wrong effect to do this, or am I missing some sort of setting requirement here?
Goes without saying, any help appreciated.

I think you are using the wrong effect. ReaTune is more for vocals. It works a bit like autotune.

Try PITCHSHIFT it is what you are looking for.

he is using the right plugin.

reapitch and reatune are two totally different things.

to the OP:

are you trying to harmonize an already distorted guitar, or a clean guitar?

If you want the best results, the cleanest possible sound should be used.
