The truth is out there!
any tricks or hotkeys or shortcuts you use a lot?

I like the ctrl-m to toggle the mixer for laptop users, and the +/- to zoom in and out in trackview.

Got to the forums at cockos, there are a ton of tips there!

s for split. Plus the usuals in Windows ctrl+c/s/v/x for copy, save, cut, and paste.
Alt+enter for the project settings.
Ctrl+p for the global settings

I do everything the retarded way with a mouse and the drop down menus.

but not really.

I use a nice mix of mouse and keyboard short cuts. The standard windows ones mostly. Reaper ones i learn on the fly. And like VHS said Split is mega useful.

The only shortcut I use is Ctr/Alt/Del.

that's pretty much what i do too, that's why i'm asking.

i know m puts in markers and s splits but that's about it.

Shift+r for regions! Get to know how these work, cuz the are super useful, especially with SWS extensions! Also, mess around with ctrl, alt and shift while scrolling with your mouse wheel. These combos have made editing much less frustrating for me.

Also checkout Kenny Gioia's REAPER tutorial videos at Groove3.com .. they are the best and they are on sale at the moment!

cheers
