Does Reaper have ARA support that allows you to use Melodyne inside the project like a "region effect" ? mark

Looks like it.

This looks a lot like an updated version of the ReWire functionality that reaper has had for over a decade now. So that's pretty cool that they're working with the other companies to improve this functionality. I used to use ReWire to embed Vocaloid projects in Reaper a looong time ago.

Thanks Steve. In Cakewalk you can select a clip and apply Melodyne to the single clip in what they call a Region effect. You make your edits and render the clip without having to open Melodyne in the standalone mode. Pretty handy for bass and vocal tracks. I think it requires ARA support to work properly. I've been looking at Reaper in case I don't like the new Sonar (if it's ever finally releasd) and Cakewalk by Bandlab times out. Probably should have just googled it but it seams there's quite a few Reaper users here. ms

Yes, as Steve has said Reaper added the ARA implementation somewhere somewhere in in the later versions of 5.xx or early version 6.xx.
I was really happy when I updated to 6.xx and it was THERE!
Previously I had to use melodyne as a remote program and re-import it.

I am even able to use the full melodyne studio version that has the polyphonic correction as a plugin or track effect.
