Reamping...

I know there are several commercial boxes out there that let you convert your line level output one that the guitar amp can handle, but is there a cheaper way to do this? Can anyone help?

Is there a cheaper way??? Well.... you need an impedance matching circuit, and a pad and attentuator is handy to match levels....

So if you can design your own schematic, buy the parts and build yourself one... then it probably won't cost you much....

If, like me, you only have a passing knowledge of electronic circuits, then you get to shell out for a box - and it isn't that cheap!

I swear by the Reamp -- amazing device - work exceptionally well - no noise, no messing with levels at the console.... but yeah - it's $300 bucks..........

*Can* you use a direct box in reverse in order to run signal through a stomp box or amp?
Guess I'll just go try it and find out...

In theory, it should work, but before I bought the Reamp I tried exactly that -- and it didn't work... noisy as hell, no matter how I connected it.... (and I tried all kinds of ways and signal levels!)

Bought the Reamp - plugged it in... dead quiet.... works perfectly.....

Well, I just inserted a Sansamp pedal into a mono drum track, and it worked beautifully...no DI or anything...
Then again, it's supposed to be grundgy sounding...

I think it *was* 300 bucks U.S....
189.00 is more like it, but, hell, you should be able to whip one up pretty easily...
Anyone have any schematics for a Reamp out there?
