Okay so I got a new interface but for some reason Cool edit pro doesnt pick it up automatically like it use to pick up my tascam us-800 Audacity does all i have to do is switch it because there is a place to switch it lol I was wondering if there was the same thing for Cool edit pro where I could switch my interface to my recording because right now its using my Built in laptop mic lol btw im a noob so dont be complicated when Explaining haha

Yes...but the exact location and operation varies slightly depending which version of Cool Edit Pro you have. Try looking on the Options menu for "Device Order" to select which of multiple devices is the first one to try.

The other thing to remember is that Cool Edit Pro pre-dated the use of ASIO drivers--depending on what you have, you may need to try and find MME drivers for your new interface.

I downgraded to a tascam Us-122L I think its a old product of tascam but i have cool edit pro 2.0 So what exactly should I do ?
