OK, humor me a bit. Suppose I open a MIDI file in Sonar 2.0 XL. I want to hear the drums play my soundfont sounds. The trouble is, the soundfont I use isn't quite GM compatible, so I always have to go into the MIDI drum track and start transposing notes to make it match up. Is there a way to make a MIDI drum track change to conform to a particular drum map? I almost think this would have to be some sort of CAL routine that I would have to come up with myself. I kinda dabble in the one-man show thing, and there's some good MIDI's out there, but not everyone uses the same drum layout. So, it would be nice if I could just load the MIDI, and snap the drum track to my drum map, and voila ! All the notes conform. Anyone? Thanks

Try using the Drum Map feature. If you don't know how to use them, see tutorial 8 in the help topics.

Dude, my whole question is about drum maps. I know how to use them, and quite well, in fact. I was hoping to expand on the drum map and get a little more out of it. I have drum maps set up for several DR-008 kits, and soundfont kits that I've constructed. My problem is that when I load a MIDI file, if the drums in the file don't match up to the drums in my drum maps, I have to spend all kinds of time transposing, and that's what I was hoping to avoid. I've already answered my own question, but thanks anyway.
