Finally scraped together the gear I think will work for recording our band at various venues. Took me about three years to find the stuff that would have a lot of flexibility and work in different performance environments. Most of it is used gear. All the mic stands are in another container.

I don't think I'll use the 80B at location, but reserve it for the home studio. The Mixwizard4 has a USB output that will send 16 separate tracks to SONAR in my laptop. I'm very excited about possibly making some decent recordings.

Since I also double as the keyboard player, I'm gonna need a bigger truck!

Green with envy!
Not shown, often forgotten but I hope you pay as much attention to you mains power diss' system as all the rest?
They are pretty cheap now so I would look to getting a UPS to run at least the Wizard and PC? Even if the power does not go out, some ***t can switch you off!

Dave. (Oh! And don't forget a lamp UPS side!)

I'd be getting the MixWiz (a favourite mixer of mine--at least in it's pre-USB days) into a shipping case smartish. I also agree with the comments on power distribution...and, depending on where you're going, I'd probably invest in a 16+ channel snake (though I'm guessing that might be part of the main band kit?

I'm jealous of some of your mics though!

Geez Louise... have a few beautiful mics. Yeah, I'd say you're ready, too. (it was all I could do to haul-around a Rhodes, an Oberheim TVS-1 and a Fender Showman. It's a different world...)

And not to get all hijackee but, Ben (Btyre2013) - Nice job on both the Shubert and "Lost Memories".

You just may BE a force of nature.

Going to fire up everything at a rehearsal this weekend.

Yes to: clean power supply, mixer case, 16 channel snake.

The AKG C414b XLS is one of my favorite, all-around microphones. It won a shoot-out for multi-purpose mics at Sound On Sound Magazine a few years ago.

I found two used SM57s, a Beta 58, and scored another ribbon mic at a garage sale!
