I have something in my head but not sure if it will work.

Here is the plan...

I have a song that I recorded on my 424 and then mixed down to the computer and burned onto a disc.

I want to take that song and put it back into the 424 and add more to it.
I usually like to stick to the "Less is More" adage, but I want to have numerous vocals on this one.

Is it possible to re-record this back to the 424 and add??

It sure as hell is! Basically you just bounced your tracks to the PC. Dump them back to the 424, and that gives you 2 more tracks to work with. Then mixdown or dump everything to the PC for mixdown. I've done stuff like that a lot. Prefer not to with tape, though. Degrades pretty fast.
