yo wussup everyone. feels good to be here again. 3 years back i studied most of yalls input, and been out for a minute. im back tryin to increase my knowledge of this industry. from da jump i appreciate what yall have done, are doin, and will do for my attempt to prosper in this game. peace.. Ive returned to my studio and this site and found im behind, way back, know im sayin. dropped a single album in a "big time" studio last week and wasnt feelin it from jump. i need, my time..., with my music..., know im sayin. i know this has been asked but i guess im searchin for more. im workin with Vegas Pro, AKG3000b mic, Lexicon Core2 24 bit soundcard, and a dbx386 preamp. I will have my final mixin done in Florida. I just licensed my independant label to push Christian Rappers, includin myself, out. I need a home studio to record that will be worthy of puttin out. Can u help? If its necessary to limit my budget, around 5-10g's. Thanx. Peace

I'm out of Littlefield man...heard of it ????? HOME OF WAYLONG JENNINGS......hahahahahaha, 2 hours directly south of amarillo.

Man just research research research. Try to get to stores that have the equipment you are interested in and try to demo the stuff. Personally I use the MPC2000XL and Motif 6 for sounds, and a use a GT AM52 mic and a Fat Man 2 compressor/preamp unit. For hip hop that's about all "I" need. Some people got a gang of studio equipment over the 5-10 grand you are wanting to spend, and some people got less than that and are making music just as good.

What ever you get learn it to the fullest. Don't buy something and just use it for a certain function with out learning all the tweakable stuff you and tweak. Don't get a keyboard and just use all the preset ish. Alot of people in the industry use the same equipment but there are so many ways to tweak stuff and so man effects you can put on things that you don't know what people really use.

yo, appreciate that bra. my beat man uses the mpc and the triton so on that tip im covered. hes hot on beatz right now from here to H-town so its all good. If u only 2 hours south dog ill be down there at some point and time. im working the local circle know im sayin. got two joint right now that doin aight. pushed it in miami and dallas and got hooked with a couple radio dj's feelin it. good lookin tho and you know im a research homey. peace
