I've just got my Boss RD 660 back from my brother after two years. I've forgotten how to use it and he's lost my manual.
I can remember most things but I can't get a tempo to stick to a pattern. I press the 'record' button, then the 'tempo' button, edit the tempo etc. and it stays.
If, however, I turn the machine off and then on again all the patterns have a standard 120bpm speed.
I know there's something simple I'm not doing and I feel a fool... please help!
Thanks, Marc

I think you need to save it as a "User Pattern"

You can edit a preset pattern, but the changes will be lost if you turn it off, go to a different pattern, etc...

I know it works that way when defining the drum kit, but I could be wrong on the tempo. You may just have to adjust it each time, but I would try the save thing first.

Thanks for your reply, I'm actually creating fresh user patterns, so I can't see why they're reverting to the preset tempo.
Actually I've noticed that when I change the tempo on one pattern it just changes globally for everything that's on the machine:- all patterns, all songs.
I'm sure that when I used to use it before I could assign a tempo to a pattern - that's only logical isn't it?

I'm scratching my head very hard.

Marc.
