This was a preliminary recording, to see how things worked. I wanted to get something down, a scratch recording, to get ready for a more 'proper' recording later, with better equipment, and knowing how to use Cool Edit Pro more completely.
It's on I-drive, username: jenkmaster, password: oogabooga
Well, with budgets being what they are, and student loan people trying to reposess everything I own, the better equipment will have to come later.
So, this is a raw, rough recording of my band, without the many overdubs that will come later. Could you please tell me what might help? There's only some (too much?) reverb on the vox/acoustic track.
Equipment:
JVC mixer, to line-in on my Ensoniq Audio PCI
SM-58, Radio Shack Shure mic(!), in a rough X-Y configuration for stereo acoustic guitar and vocals, and same set-up for second track for miking the amp of the electric,
Bass is direct into the 'mic' input,
Drums are Rebirth.
Any and all comments most appreciated
