Alesis Q88 has started sending random volume and pitch changes to VST instruments--Kontakt, Omnisphere. Any ideas as to why?

Alesis Q88 has started sending random volume and pitch changes to VST instruments--Kontakt, Omnisphere. Any ideas as to why?

Dirty pot tracks on the pich and volume pots. De-oxit might fix it for a time but if you can prove the pots faulty they will need to be replaced.
We had this problem with an Evo EK49 with the tone wheel pot and squirt of jollap fixed it for a time but the fault returned so I turned off 'Pitch Change' in Cubase filters.
