RAIN: How's this mix?

How is it about "all of us?"

I like the mix. Nice levels on everything--nothings is buried and everything holds its own. If I had one nit (and this more of a taste thing) I'd say the snare is dry compared to the rest of the mix. When the mix is full, its fine, but when it's sparse and the snare stands out more, it feels dry relative to the "lushness" of the other elements.

Tell us about your tune--some info about your recording process would be cool. What's real, what's not, etc. This sounds good enough that I want to know more...
 
Hey whitestrat. Was kidding about writing about all of you. That was the after work beer typing.

I used cubase 5.5. Im "the band", with the exception of the bass, who is a friend of mine. The only not real part is the drums. I used groove agent 3. I agree about the dry snare. Good call! Thanks!
 
I think its got a pretty good hook. The mix is kind of busy/choppy, if that makes any sense. The level balance is good, but parts pop in and out hard panned a little too much for me. Good job on the performances, especially the vocal harmonies.
