Was trying out my (expensive) new boss power supply for my pedals last night and getting horrible tones through my amp. But they didn't seem to go away when i unplugged it, although they did get quieter. Never noticed this before, any ideas on what it could be? So sick of amp problems its one thing after another lately.

Sounds like you've got a bad cable in the chain. Especially if you're hearing radio interference.

Strange, the cables fine. In the end i was just using one cable straight into the amp. TBH i know nothing about the IEC lead i was using, could that power lead be to blame?

One afternoon, for no good reason, I started picking up this spanish language radio station on my amp. So, I jacked up the gain (to make it more audible), then stuck a mic in front of my cab and recorded a couple minutes of it - you never know when that'll be useful. :D

It went away after that though. Maybe it was just a bad cable.

ive noticed that with my DI box when i use the ground lift switch to separate the ground it pretty much turns into a tiny radio antenna. if i crank the gain on my preamp i can hear a radio station clear as a bell.
