Rackmount computer cases

my PC is in a rackmount case. 4U size, plenty of room inside it for hard drives and such. the only problem is that the fans that came with the case are hellishly loud. so be prepared to supply your own quiet fans in case you might have to. i bought my case from Newegg. i forgot the name of it, and it doesnt have any brand markings on it anywhere, but it looks pretty cool.

i keep it in the tiny rack on my desktop.
here's a pickature:

My DAW is in a 4RU rack case that I bought from an eBay seller called "plinkusa.net".

I'm in the computer business, and I'd recommend this case to anybody interested in a sturdy, well made product.

Mine is deeper than need be, 19" from face plate to rear. The rack handles stick out another 2" from the face plate, so a custom rack is in order. I'll build mine from 3/8" baltic birch for the side panels, and 3/4" for the mount points and facings. It will look like entirely 3/4" material, but will have the weight savings of 3/8". Leave sufficient depth for cables, end covers, etc.

I have two Aardvark Q10 units to permanently mount in the rack, so I don't have to plug/unplug their cables.

Very cool. All the info and pics were a real help.

So far I've got my rackmount OC wishlisted at Newegg. I'd post a link but I can't find it in the shared list, even though I shared it. Hm. Later maybe.

I just got an antec rackmount and just curious. The thing is 22" deep, which rack do you guys use to cover the whole thing? My whole idea was to get it in a rack to do location recording, but it's too deep for the racks I've found. Do you guys know any 24" deep racks?
