Opinions vary widely on the RA-100. Depends on how and what people are using them with, I suppose. I like them fine in a control room monitoring role, which is the only way I’ve ever used them. They’ve been around for a long time now and seem to hold up well.
How low bucks? I would still pay $100.00 for one in excellent condition if I needed to replace it. I don’t like the series after the RA-100 as much (RA-150, RA-300, etc).
I like mine a bunch. It's great in the studio powering monitors and it's powerful enough for PA use at something like a wedding reception or something for about 200 people.
I have 2. One for my ns-10's and one was given to me from a band. They used it for monitors. Has been beat up but stills works fine. I think they are very good for the buck.
