R16 stuck on "Loading Project"

What do I do?

I randomly just turned on the unit and it goes to "Loading Project" and just stays there forever.

Assuming it is a Zoom R16 I have used that "new fangled" Google to search for "factory reset" or "hard reset" but nothing shows so far. OP should persevere with searching but NOW send an email off to Zoom.

If there is a "Clear" button on the unit try...Power off-hold Clear-power on-release Clear. There might also be a tiny, ~1mm hole somewhere into which to poke a stick to reset?

For starters try a new SD card that you know has the recommended specs for the R16. Format it in the R16 and not a computer. It may be the one in the unit presently is corrupted in some way so that it can't load a project properly.
