ok, i'm dealing with this since two days.

i'm running a JUST SET UP win xp with a NOTHING MORE on it than the recently installed waveterminal 2496 (of course newest drivers) and and fresh copy of cubase sx 1.02.

when i record something, the input sound is EXTREMELY quiet (you dont even see any waves on the recorded track in cubase..)

the mic i use is ok, everything works fine when i plug it into the onboard soundblaster card..

i read the manual of the wt over and over, and of course played around with the wt control panel and the cubase audio settings. switched asio drivers and messed with their settings.. i dunno what more i could do - i hope someone here does..

any help is greatly appreciated cause i go nuts here!
THANKS! :)

I didn't really get it...

Do you connect the mic to a Mic input or a Line input?

Your mic won't work at all (at least not good) with a Line in. You need to get a mic.pre-amp or something...

well why does it work with the standard soundblaster in my pc??

ther i just talk into the mic and i can hear it without problems - in this card i YELL and have to turn the volume of my speakers to max to be able to hear it :\
