Alright, so I am trying to record bass covers. Im plugged into my computer, and record using audacity, then put it in WMM. Then I put in the video footage of me actually playing. The only thing is, where do I put the ACTUAL song I am playing in? My playing already occupies the audio section. Can I put them together or something?

Better question form....not sure what you are asking.

If you mean that the video clip already has an audio track...well, you separate (ungroup/etc) the audio track fro the video track...toss it, and replace with the your audio track.

That's how I do it using Sony Vegas to create my YouTube clips.

The audio track that came with the video acts as a guide for where to place the new audio track. Once placed, I toss the audio from the video clip.

Is that what you are asking???

Let me COMPLETELY rephrase here, and give an example.

Heres a bass cover I did:

YouTube - Red Hot Chili Peppers- Charlie [Bass Cover]

And heres one by a different person, same song:

YouTube - RHCP - Charlie [Bass Cover]

The second one is obviously of higher quality, as you can clearly hear both the bass, and the music better.

I checked out your videos, and both of them seem to be similar to the second one in terms of quality.

What are the steps I should take to make my covers sound more like the second video/yours?

If I understand your question correctly, you need an audio track for the song you're playing along to, plus another audio track for your bass that's playing to the song. WMM might not be sophisticated enough to do that. You might have to try to find a Movie Maker program that allows you to have more than one audio track.

Or....pre-mix your audio tracks (your bass and the song you're playing along to) and make them one audio track.
