Quick Soundcard Question--SB Live 24

What's this button do?
Is this card capable of simultaneous playback/recording for multitracking? I am recording w/Cubase sx 3.0 into P4 based pc with Mackie onyx/firewire card. Need to be able to record and playback multiple channels. PC comes stock w/a realtek? card. It is a Gateway 503GR. Does anyone use this card?

I dont know but wat I know is that is not a very good card. On ebay you could have a SB AUDIGY EX for 40 dollars. It is relay better.

I think right now its the good time to buy some old generation audigy. They will be discontinued very soon.

I thought the firewire card was your interface for your mixer?? If that is true you dont have to worry about your sound card at all the firewire is it, Do some reading....
