Quick Question...please help!

Can I use my Tacam 424mkIII as a mixer tracking into a tascam da 38 digital tape recorder? Even if I can only track one track at a time its ok, as thats about all I do now anyway. Thanks!
 
Because I have a 424 now, and am probably getting a da 38 soon. I wont have the cash for a real board for a few weeks, so I wanted to make sure that it would suffice. Thanks for the reply though, I appreicate it.....also, do you have any opinion on the d38?
 
The DA38 is a good machine - nice sound - reliable... Sooner rather than later, I imagine you'll want to be getting a much better front-end for it than the 424 mixer though.....
 
Well, I lost my ebay auction.....oh well, there will be another about to end in a couple of days. Do you think I should be worried about purchasing one used before I see it? Ive heard they can have some costly repairs if they havnet been properly maintained or if they have a ton of hours logged on them. My radio teacher told me he would pay $50 for one if it were up to him.
