when i record vocals on my mic it only plays back in one speaker, instead of two, or one ear instead of two....Why is this? i'm using a firepod fp10

When you create a track for the vocals, be sure it is a Mono track and not Stereo.

Maybe you're deaf in one ear? ;)

It could be as Chili says, or a range of things. Is the track panned centrally? Is your gear plugged up ok?

Does anything play thru the silent speaker? Ie windows sounds, media player, video games, whatever.. If not, it might be wiring or a bad speaker.

If other projects play fine but no tracks on this project play thru one speakers, the main mix might be panned all the way to one side.

If other tracks in this project play fine and ONLY the vox track is coming out of one side, then the track is panned to one side, or as chili said, you recorded to one side of a stereo track.

And that's pretty much all there is to it..

If none of the above works, it MIGHT be plugged up, make sure there's no samples clogging up the wires! :p
