quick fruity loops question

sorry if i posted this in the wrong spot - but i've seen topics on this here before so...

how can i get it so that I use my computer's midi sounds in fruity loops (get them to play what i put on the piano roll....for example a track in the "step sequencer")?

i got FL 3.4

If you're talking about sound fonts, why not just load them into FL?
 
just put them in the samples in folder of fruity loops

so you make like a C of each midi instrument...and turn it into a wav? then use it as a sample?

you can do that, however, each semitone you get away from the original 'C' is going to degrade playback of the sample, unless you 'acidize' it with beat creator or something, or use recycle. but this kind of thing can get tedious...and i haven't tried anything like this exactly with FL.....just curious, why do you want to use your computer's midi sounds? what kind of soundcard do you have? onboard sound?
 
yeah SB Live! - but i love some of the sounds it gets....like the piano and some other generic stuff as well.

also - while we're on the topic of FL....

is it possible to change the tempo in the middle of a song, and then (for example), bring it back up to the original, or something of that sort?

There's FruityLive synth, which is a great soundfont player, but you have to pay 30 bucks or so if you want it to save your soundfont settings with your session. It's pretty simple to load the Creative soundfonts into it, but there are millions of sundfonts out there that are way better.

Yes, you can speed up and slow down a FruityLoops song. You basically have to record your tempo changes. Check out how by using your online help in Fruity.
 
You could also use the FL soundfont player, but you only get the demo with FL. Click on Channel/New/FL soundfont player to try it out. However, I bet there's a freebie VST sampler plug in out there that can load soundfonts.
