ok i have a few questions on mics and studio stuff because i am a complete newbie.
1. concerning drum mics, if you have 7 drum mics how can you use them all if you only have an audio interface with 6 microphone inputs? is there anyway to cut down the number of mic inputs needed but use the same number of mics? how do real recording studios do it?
2. What kind of room would be best for recording a band? Is a garage more proferable than a room in your house, and how do would different material like having would walls or carpeted floors affect the sound of the band? What do real recording studios have in there rooms that make them sound so clear and nice?
3. what are the best mics for the following: a. Guitar b. Bass c. vocals
4. Any other tips for a beginner trying to make the best of his surroundings to record?
Thanx a lot
