Uses Paramedic EQ
I keep finding all these HUGE gaps in my knowledge that I want to fill in. These are some questions for those who have knowledge above and beyond the average HomeRecording Joe. Hopefully others need these answers and more, and hopefully this isn't too redundant.
What are the important measurements to know when it comes to say a Headphone Amp?
For instance, how would I know without frying the thing if I can run a Headphone signal over lets say a 100' mic cable?
What measurements can I take, and can I use My Radio Shack Multi-tester? What do I need to look up in the manual?
Also:
How can I Measure the resistance in Ohms of a set of headphones, or even a speaker? When I connect the multi-tester to an 8 Ohm speaker it never says 8 ohms. What am I doing wrong?
How do I get rid of an AM Radio station that only comes in on ONE channel of an Installed 16 channel snake?
Can you use up all your phantom power? For instance, can I run 2 or even 3 LDC mics that each require 48v if the board only has one switch for all of it's phantom?
Things that make me go Urrgh!
That's it for now. I'm sure I'll think of more.
