questions bout pro tools

Yo, i'm nu at this and i'm nu at computer recording. I know the digidesign m-box has like 2 inputs, but can i run several mics into a mixing console and then into the m=box and pro tools?i want to mic the drums seperatley and mic the guitar cabs for a "real" sound. If i can, what are some good setups for this?

You can run all the drums into a mixer and then use the stereo outputs into the MBox inputs. You'll only have 2 tracks of drums so you can't mix the snare, kick, toms, and cymbols seperatly, so you better make sure you have a good mix going in.
