Questions about sampling.

Im not sure if this is the right forum for this question but...

If I wanted to sample a line from a movie and use it in a distributed album, who would I need to talk to? Any ideas on how much it costs to sample?
 
Well, if you sample without permission, it could cost a lot more than it's actually worth. You have to go to the copyright owner to get permission to use copyrighted material.

well....you have to get in contact with the "fox agency"
then get permission to use the beat....sample ...etc.
Then when you are ready to sell your music retail keven fox i believe is his name will track down the original artists and they will notify you trust me...lol I just found this out a couple days ago because one of my songs only goes with the gangsta mass appeal beat....well best of luck kid..hold it down
