Mr Ed Rei....

Perhaps I was too hurried to call you a dipshit. Maybe I just don't know you well enough. But perhaps you should quit flaming a product that you apparently don't know a whole lot about (read HD24).

There are problems with just about anything recording gear that you buy ....Tascam, Yamaha, Alesis, Roland.......they all have their problems, but you were just mouthing off about Alesis just a little bit too much. Alesis has an awesome product and after weeding out the early problems and seeing that they really are not problems at all...I quite like the unit.

If you don't like them, then don't buy one. Simple, isn't it? I typically don't rag on someone elses choices...people generally buy what they feel is the best product for the money.

My apologies for the dipshit remark. I ususally won't say anything to a person on a message board that I wouldn't say face to face, and maybe my remark was out of line.

Ed's reason #2 (without all the maniacal laughing ;)) is pretty much why I passed on the HD24. I apparently haven't been burned as bad as him ... but enough that I didn't want to go there again. Not everyone's experiences are the same ... and we all have different levels of BS that we'll tolerate.
Ed obviously reached the breaking point a while back ... and for a guy who used to moderate this forum and did actually endorse Alesis for a while (ok "endorse" is strong ... but let's just say it wasn't always "doom and gloom") ... I think his perspective is both honest and refreshing.

Hey, just the other day actually. Funny that you mentioned that! :)

But I don't look like that anymore. The hormones have worked quite well, so I am up to a C-cup now. The hair removal is tendious, but I am trooper (errrrrr...troopette?). And thanks to my older sister, I have a whole new wardrobe! ;)
