Hello guys.
I have a problem with editing midi files in cubas.
What I am trying to do is to import my midi files and edit the sounds and the volumes in cubas sx connected with my korg pa1x pro via midi interface.
And what is hapenning is each time I change the sounds when the midi is playing the values and the sounds keep changing . What do I have to fix in order of everything to stay the same when I start changing the sounds and levels. Thank you

I was following you up to this point. I don't understand this section of your post. Can you be more specific about what is happening exactly?

did you get my PM bass master?

Like I said I have my keyboard connected to my pc.
Instead of opening the midi file in my keyboard sequencer and edit it, I export the midi file in cubase for a better view. When I play the song from cubase, the values and sounds start changing in my keyboard. Let's say I change the drum kit in my keyboard with another one in two seconds the drum kit changes again by itself so the levels . If you understand the problem what should I change in my midi seting or disable? Thank's again.

I too am not quite sure what you mean but my best guess is that you midi file contains some program change messages and when run they are resetting to their default values. It may also have to do with a mapping problem between the 2 units.

Sorry, that's the best I could think of.

I got it xfinsterx, thanks for posting this because I often don't think to check my messages. I gave you a reply with some info.

Ashraf, can you go into your keyboard controls and find something to the effect of "Global Control"? If you can, switch it to whatever it is NOT currently set to ( I believe it should be set to "off" if I am not mistaken, but just try switching it). See if that doesn't solve the problem.

Also, so I can clarify, are you switching the sound by phsyically changing on your keyboard, the bank or patch it is playing, or are you using the little box in the track manager in Cubase to change sounds?

ok, i'm not really into midi, but i think i have a clue what's wrong

when you open a midi file made by someone else, then its full with controls,
you can choose where the volume changes, and i think you can even change the sounds and patches during a song

so if you can find all the midi controls, then you can change it with the 'pensil' tool, just draw how loud you want the file to be,
what patch you want to listen to....
