Question on M-Audio Firewire Solo Setup

Ok...I have mine currently set up w/ a condenser mic in the 1 mic input. Now, I want to get a second condenser mic for my acoustic guitar. How would you suggest I hook a second one up to this unit?

I was thinking about buying a converter to go from that three pronged mic cable to one of those guitar cables -- then i could just plug it into the second phantom power slot that's meant for guitars....but would this work and would it degrade the sound quality significantly?

any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if this will be any help but if your are not able to record 2 sources at once with the Solo you can get a dedicated 2 channel preamp (maybe DMP3) and use the rear inputs on the solo. Just the first thing that came to mind. I own and have used the Solo but I have never attempted to record 2 sources at once.
