I currently have a Korg Triton LE 61 key synth/ keyboard. Is this ketboard equipped with what is known as S/PDIF input/output? I ask because I also bough t a Presonus Firewire recording interface and need to know if I'll need to buy a midi controller keyboard, or if I'll be able to use my korg? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes the triton does have S/PDIF. Somebody, correct me if I'm wrong but that is just for digital audio and not event data.. Also any keyboard with midi out can be used as a MIDI controller.....so you should be good with your triton.

Hi there,
Correct, the SPDIF is used for digital stereo audio info. You should use instead the regular MIDI output from the kbd into the MIDI input of the sound card on your pc. Hope it helped.
