Hey dragon,
did you try the event 20/20 passives before deciding on the reveals you now have? I've narrowed it down to these two, but I can't find a pair if reveals to test (mailorder only) - I'm wondering if there was something about the event passives that turned you off to them? I'm mainly leaning towards the events because they are 8"'ers instead of 6.5's and have a supposedly more extended bass response (handy considering I use a lot of electronic sounds) - but I'm looking for the best overall monitor in terms of getting an accurate mix the first time around. both monitors can be had for $289 shipping included now, so price is not a deciding factor between the two.

btw - the amp I'll be using for now is an audiophile integrated at 40w rms @ 2 to 6 ohms, and 200w peak with softclipping speaker protection (though I can't get the volume dial past 2 without getting blown across the room) - not a perfect choice, but it should do for now. would this be a better match for the reveals, given thier lower rms power handling, or would both monitors be equally loud/full on the same amp given thier efficiency ratings, the events just being able to handle a large amp if need be?
