Question for bass players

I have finished tracking the guitars for a new metal instrumental using my baritone guitar – tuned down to C. I am going to track the bass myself – but am unsure – would you tune the bass down to C, or play it in standard tuning? Is that low C going to be too muddy? Is the octave up too light sounding? Advice appreciated. Thanks!!

I'd use a 5-string tuned standard low BEADG

There's no need to tune down the bass. I'd leave it as it is, both tuned to low C would definately be a recepie for mud.

Use the normal C on bass to "complement" the guitar.
