never used AA3 but I have used AA1.5 and recorded with a friends M-audio USB device...dont remember wich model...so Im gonna say that you can...

ive used USB with AA for a while, it works really well.

im using my toneport ux2 with AA3 right now. works fine. you just have to change the audio hardware settings.
