Question bout sub and turntables

Sup ppl this is another question I have and I know u ppl can answer it for me .

Aight first my question is about a sub. I have the bx5s and there is an absolute lack of bass that I need for produciing hip hop music. I know that m-audio offers a sbx sub for 400$. My question for you is is there an alternate subwoofer that I can buy for a much less steep price that would provide me with the bass i need? Also how do I hook my sup up with my computer and my bx5's. Also I am not running a Professional studio and anything that would provide me with some extra bass that the bx5's lack please tell me.

My next question is about turntables. I have allways wanted to experiment with turntables and my question is if I got my turntables could I edit my music on the computer by scratching it or anything? Are there computer turntables like that arent made for 5 year olds?? Also what are the advantages of having a turntable in a home studio.

I can't help you with the sub question.

There are a couple hardware/software setups that will let you scratch audio files. Stanton's final scratch is one, I'm sure there are others.

For that one, you would use a standard mixer, standard turntables, and the provided interfaces and software.

Yes, I think you need to get a sub (to help you reference your low-end).

I also think that you should have purchased a pair of monitors with a bigger woofer (BX8's).

You could use "Final Scratch" or a Pioneer CDJ-800 CD turntable.

Once again, it depends on how much money you want/can spend.

yo i use bx5s AND IF YOU SET UP YOUR STUDIO PROPERLY the acoustic space switch on the back will bring the bass out the only thing that it lacks is an indepth explination of what the acoustic space is for. but i figured it out by reading the manual that came with the monitors so read that and experiment with the switches before you blow your money on a woofer.

Remember though, if you get Final Scratch you will still need to purchase a turntable.

If you are not going to be dj'ing and you don't have access to a lot of wax, you should look at the Pioneer CDJ-800 (you even scratch with it).

You can burn the songs and samples to CD, then you can use them in the Pioneer unit.

It is a definite toss up between the Pioneer vs the turntable and Final Scratch.

You should do a cost comparison.

You might also want to look on EBAY for all of your wanted items.

Hey man Thanks a ton for the help with the turntables.

About the sub, the cheapest thing that would work good would be ok. But Im thinking of just saving up for the sbx but if yall know a sub that would be good holla.
