Hi folks,

I'm new here, not knowing about the culture on this list. Hopefully the question is not to dull for most of you.

Burning mp3's on my new pentium 4, with a samsung 32x10x40 burner, causes annoying hiss on peaklevels, even after low burningspeeds. This is only to be heard on the burned (audio)CD's. There's no difference when I convert the mp3 before burning to wav. Same mp3's and wav's sounds good on HDD.

I found a solution in making an image from the mp3's first before burning the whole thing. Software I'm using is Nero 5590/94/96 (tried 3 versions). After burning the music as an image there's no problem with the sound anymore.

But I like to know what the problem can be with a direct mp3 burn from HDD to CD in audioformat. Can anyone help me out?

Tnx!
Frank
