Just a general question...and maybe if someone is very nice and has some free time, they could go the extra mile on this one...

I know there are TDM and Native versions of Waves plugins..

Are there also VST or Directx versions? (I'm assuming that both of those fall into the Native category...is it one or the other, or both?)

TDM just means designed for Pro Tools, right?

What's the difference between VST and Directx - VST is exclusively Steinberg?...is one better than the other?

TDM VST Directx...should all theoretically sound the same...

As far as I know, Waves are DX plugins (unless they made VST version very lately).
Like Teacher said, they all sound the same. DX plugins are usually more computer hungry, then similar VST.
Someone may correct me here, but VST was initially beeing pushed by Steinberg, but now it is gaining recognition. For example latest Sonar 3 accepts VST through the software adapter.

My waves plugs are vst running with protools LE. I'm pretty sure PT LE is VST only plugs.
