Question about the 488MkII

I am getting the CAD GXL3000 PRO STUDIO MIC that needs phantom power.
Can the 488 supply that?(I know there is a switch in the back)
Also will the pre-amp in the 488 be able to boast it enought?

Sure! For the record,... [heh: pun],...

The 488mkII has 48V phantom power and about 65db of gain on the preamps.
