Question about ram speed...

Okay I haven't posted here for a while and I was wondering I have an old old comp..(a gateway essential running with a celeron and about 64mb ram) I record only hip hop...I dont have to worry about midi or any type of things that that becase I get my instrumentals from other places... all I need to know is does more ram and a faster processor affect quality of records at all.. seeing as ill only be recording one track at a time and I know I wont have to expand at all?

More ram and a faster processor will allow you to mix a greater number of tracks, use more plugins, use a higher bit depth & sampling rate etc.

But they won't, of themselves affect the quality of the recording

Okay thankx that just means i dont need more ram basiclly
but i do need to look into getting some pluggins to help with processing my vocals
