question about mic choice

i notice a pretty noticeable hissing in my mobile pre pre amps when i turn them past 2/3rds or so . i was thinking about getting a sm 57 because i like them on my voice and i could use it for recording and live applications. i heard sm57 mics are quiet and need a lot of gain for recording though .. will my pre's be good enough to increase the signal on the sm57 without inserting a ton of hiss? if not, are there any cheap solutions someone could provide? or would i just be better off with a condenser like the v67g at this budget since it needs less gain ?


also, can anyone recommend a decent mic stand and pop filter? all of the ones i found online seem to get horrible reviews
