Question about M-audio delta 66

ok heres the deal, I have the 4 input delta 66 interface , and I run my mackie mircro series 1202 mixer into the 4 inputs.I connect into the card from the channel inserts on my mixer which previously I used the main stereo outs before I had the 4 track option.Now when I record, I have to crank the crap out of my preamps just to get decent levels, I cant even get a Bass DI to workle levels without boosting it on the computer with pluginsIm just wondering if I set the card up wrong, or its the software , or how im plugged in, can someone help me on this?

You may need to set the inputs on the Delta 66 to -10 instead of +4.
