Question About Headphones!

Hello,
What's up! My question regarding headphones would be..how do i make it where i can hear myself singing in the headphones? i hear the beat...but i don't hear myself..at first when i hooked my gear up..i did..but don't know what i did wrong in the process...so i would appreciate anyone's help as to how to get me back to hearing..myself sing..along with the beat in the headphones(the mic still records my voice when i hit record with my software..i just can't hear myself in my headphones singing, hope i hadn't confused anyone)! thanks, be blessed!

What software, and hardware are you using? You need to get somewhere that assigns an output to the phones. This will all depend on what Equipement you are using.

hey, the software i am using is cool edit pro 2.0...and i have a berhinger mixer.. and some sony v600 headphones.

What soundcard are you using? Just a stock soundblaster?

It can't be done. It's impossible to hear vocals thru headphones. Only guitars, drums and bass. And the skinflute.
