ok, so it looks like I'm going to be purchasing the Firepod for use with my laptop. I've also ordered a firewire pc card so its all compatible. However one thing worries me - I recently bought an 02 midi keyboard, and obviously want to use this to play virtual instruments. when I've tried it with my laptop before (using reason adapted, which i dont like, and wont continue using) i got an appalling 50 odd m/s of latency, even though my laptop has got good specs (496mb ram, 80 gig hard drive etc, although just the stock soundcard). with the firepod, will that problem be eliminated?i cant quite get my head round it (sorry, I am a novice). will I need something else to get rid of that latency?

thanks all

The Firepod comes with ASIO drivers which will allow lower latency than your stock sound card drivers
