Question about Delta 44 and Omni I/O

Well I have a delta 44 and was wondering how the Omni I/O is used with it. Does the origanl Delta 44 break out box get put to the side or is it in line with the Omni. From what I see is that the Omni is basically just 4 preamps. In the end do I still only have four input/outputs or does the Omni add to the 4 channels I already have? yes I am a newbie
 
Yep, the omni box gives you preamps, but no extra channels
 
The Omni box only gives you two preamps. Which also includes phantom power for your condensors. But it does'nt give you two extra channels. For that you would have to get the 66 card. And you would have to get four extra preamps to run all six line ins. That's where a mixer would come in handy.
 
The 2 extra inputs on the delta 66 are s/pdif, not analog
