question about converting to MP3 please

I'm trying to get my stuff on MP3. I click on batch conversion and it says I need an MP3 encoder. Then I go to LAME and am really lost. Where's the download? What am I supposed to dl? I recorded my tapes onto Goldwave and am now trying to convert. Any help would be appreciated!

One more thing, when you find Yamp v1.3 under programs you'll have to right-click and "save as", then save it to the folder of your choice. I was trying to double click but nothin' happened so it was kinda tricky.
