I was wondering if anyone knew of A good soundcard W/ADAT inputs/outputs.

Yup, used a Hammerfall for years. Never any trouble. Finally retired it when I decided that the Digi-002-Rack was the way for me. You can probably pick up an original Hammerfall for not too much dough on the used market.

One thing you did neglect to mention was how many channels of ADAT in do you need, and at what bitrate and sample rate? Btw, I'm selling my Motu 828mkII which has 8 ADAT in/out channels as well as 8 analog input channels and 2 channels with mic pre's. While the converters on the analog inputs aren't quite up to the level of say an RME converter, they aren't bad, and that doesn't affect the ADAT in/out anyway. Let me know if you're interested.

Bitrate is a term used in compressed media formats such as MPEG and MP3, it has nothing to do with bit depth, which is what I think you were trying to say....

Yea, I only-well, let me put it this way, I recently acquired A Fostex Digital mixer, and from what I understand in the Owner's manual, I have (1) ADAT
out and (1) ADAT in. I read that I can run (8) tracks of audio to my pc through the one ADAT out. That would free up some outputs on the mixer
as well as some inputs on my soundcard. (if I buy an ADAT compatible card)
I also like the idea of less chords cluttering up my space. Now does that mean that I can run (8) tracks into Sonar, and direct them to different tracks
in Sonar for mixdown....or will they all have to be on one track? By the way, thanks for all the replies. I've learned (what little I know) from you guys on this forum.

Oh, yea-sile send me An E-Mail or A PM about the card. I may just be interested in it. Thanks

M-Audio FireWire 1814? I haven't used the lightpipe part, but the rest of it works well.
