Okay, against posts that have said not to do it, I did it anyway. I bought the M-Audio Quattro (Sigh). So, in Sonar I can only use the MME driver. (Sigh) 1 in / 1out (Sigh). However, I am doing this with a laptop that has a single microphone in and a headphone out. The 2 song ideas my buddy and I recorded so far sound really good just with that. So If I use the 1 in on the Quattro, wouldn't that be the same as left (1 in) and right (1 in)?
I am really happy with Sonar 2.0 so far and since it cost sooooo much to get to that point (in upgrades) and the $260 I dropped on the Quattro, I really don't want to try to learn a new recording software. (Just now starting to learn Sonar.)
Is the Logic Delta that I got free with Quattro any good? It uses the ASIO driver and they say it works (Hmmmph).
When the money allows I will buy some pro stuff but again my laptop is working great so far and IF I can get the Quattro to work well (even with 1 stereo in) then I can be happy.
Does anyone know if the Quattro will someday have WDM drivers? or Do the WDM drivers from the other M-Audio products work with Quattro? or Can I or someone else write a WDM driver for this thing? AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGHHHH I just want something to work without me going broke! (Sigh)
